Personally, for me, the confrontation between RB Leipzig and Stuttgart is the most striking match of Matchday 9 of the Bundesliga. Some might argue that the Bayern vs. Bayer match has more prestige than any other match of this round, and on paper, that's true. But are you really convinced that Bayer Leverkusen can compete with Bayern and maybe even draw them in Munich? The outcome of this game seems to be a foregone conclusion, with no real surprises. On the other hand, the match between Leipzig and Stuttgart promises to be a real thriller. Firstly, it is a battle between the teams in second and third place in the league. Both teams are in excellent form, having not lost in the Bundesliga for quite some time. Furthermore, their head-to-head matches often bring spectacle and plenty of goals. Take last season for example: Stuttgart beat Leipzig twice, 3-1 at home and 3-2 away. Leipzig are the bookmakers' favourites this time, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Swabians make another sensation at the Red Bull Arena.
RB Leipzig
Last season was a real disappointment for Leipzig. They lost to Stuttgart in the semi-finals of the German Cup. In the Champions League, the results were frankly gloomy - three points from eight games, finishing 32nd out of 36 in the league phase. And in the Bundesliga, the Saxon team ended up seventh, missing out on European competitions altogether. All this prompted decisive action: a new coaching staff, parting ways with key players, searching for new talent, etc. These changes have paid off, and Leipzig now occupy second place in the standings, behind only the undefeated Bayern. This season they have only lost to the Munich giants and drawn away to Borussia Dortmund. Every other match has been a convincing victory. Now Ole Werner's team faces a tough test against opponents who are playing at the same elite level.
Stuttgart
Stuttgart's poor results in the Europa League aside, there is much to admire about Sebastian Hoeness's team - their lively attacking play and solid defence. Just the other day they beat Mainz again, this time 2-0 in the last 16 of the German Cup, fulfilling my pre-match expectations. Stuttgart don't just win; they do it with strength and determination. The team has regained the spark that won them so many fans across Germany. Even injuries to key players have not stopped Hoeness from imposing his style on his opponents. After last season, many experts called for a change of coach, suggesting that Hoeness had given his all and that a decline was inevitable. But the club's management supported him to get out of the rut and regain first place. And that is exactly what happened. Now, sitting in third place in the table, Stuttgart is once again considered one of the best in the Bundesliga.

RB Leipzig - Stuttgart: Author's Prediction
I wouldn't bet on either Leipzig or Stuttgart to win, as I see them operating at about the same level right now. Of course, Leipzig is the favorite, but this is not a case of a dominant force facing an underdog. Both teams have not lost for a long time, scoring constantly but rarely conceding. I'm sure there will be plenty of chances from both sides. If the finishing moves are good, we could be in for another goal fest. So I would advise trying to score more than 3 goals in total.
